September 13th 2025 marked a triumphant day as Bluebird Care Bicester, Banbury & Kidlington staff joined forces across Central and Wales regions to climb Mount Snowdon in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The initiative, led by nine Bluebird Care offices, including a determined team from our own branch, Jayden, Carmine and Daniella take on the challenging 1,085-metre ascent ⛰️ — all with a common goal: to make a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia 💜.
Our local team proudly raised an incredible £1,060 👏, contributing to the overall total of £6,565 raised across all nine participating Bluebird Care branches 🎉.
This inspiring effort highlights the deep commitment of the Bluebird Care network to supporting not only those they care for day-to-day, but also the wider dementia community across the UK.
To put the impact of this fundraising into perspective:
£6,565 could enable 14 families 👨👩👧👦 to receive crucial guidance and support from an Alzheimer’s Society Community Dementia Adviser 🤝
Or it could fund 1,037 calls 📞 to the Alzheimer’s Society’s Telephone Support Helpline, offering a lifeline to those in need 🧠💬
The climb was more than a physical challenge — it was a statement of solidarity, compassion, and community spirit 🌟. Each step taken up Snowdon symbolised the journey many families face when coping with dementia, and every pound raised will help lighten that path 💪💖.
A huge thank you 🙏 goes out to everyone who donated, supported, or took part in the climb. Your effort and generosity are making a real, tangible difference 🌍.
We should all feel incredibly proud of the impact we've made! 🥳💙👏
