To mark this year’s theme, we were incredibly proud to sponsor an afternoon of real tennis at Prested Real Tennis Club for the brilliant group from Penny Meadow - Achieve Together
Real tennis is one of the toughest sports around — but that didn’t faze anyone. Everyone got stuck in, learning the game’s quirky rules, exploring the historic rackets and balls, and giving it their all on the court.
A special thank you to Head Pro Levi, who made the day even better with his energy, patience, and passion for the sport and also to Edward and Vicky from Penny Meadow for bringing such a great group and helping make it a day to remember.
This initiative was inspired by our Director, Melvyn Plum, a long-time real tennis player himself, who saw the opportunity to make the sport more inclusive and accessible.
The event perfectly reflects Bluebird Care’s commitment to corporate social responsibility — promoting physical wellbeing, community access, and inclusion for all and importantly to make a contribution to the ‘Do You See Me?’ Campaign.
And we're pleased to share that this isn’t a one-off — it’s now a regular monthly event, proudly sponsored by Bluebird Care.
This was more than a sports session — it was part of Bluebird Care’s commitment to the “Do You See Me?” campaign. We believe in promoting physical wellbeing, inclusion, and community access for people with learning disabilities — and making sure everyone feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
And for those watching the video… yes, our cameraman did survive the surprise “power shot to the throat” — Proof, if needed, that our guests were taking no prisoners!!
