As part of the Pledge Relay, we walked to the Bluebird Care Pontypridd office to pass the baton and the pledge so that Pontypridd could continue the pledge. And to start this pledge, Bluebird Care Newport passed the pledge to us.
Despite the weather on the day, we walked to Bluebird Care Pontypridd on the 25th of September, and we were greeted by a fantastic welcome party.
It was a fantastic day, and we can’t Bluebird Care Pontypridd enough for the warm welcome, and we thank you all for helping us raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

We had a fantastic day for a very worthwhile cause not only close to our hearts with the people we help to look after. I think we all know someone that has been affected by Alzheimer's or dementia. Not only did we raise money but had a fabulous team building experience. We kept going even though we got soaked. A great reception was waiting for us in our arrival. Lovely to meet the team at Pontypridd and hopefully going forward will be an ongoing relationship.

I thoroughly enjoyed our walk for Alzheimer’s society, even though I was soaked through to the bone on returning. Alzheimer’s has affected many people in life whether it be a family member, friend or yourself and to know that I have contributed to raise money and awareness for this condition makes me feel proud. The welcome we had from Bluebird care Pontypridd was a lovely surprise. They really pulled out all the stops to ensure we were fed, watered and dry for our return walk. All in all it was a fantastic morning doing something for a cause that is very close to my heart.
