At Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire, caring for those living with dementia is at the heart of what we do. Each day, we support customers navigating the challenges of memory loss, confusion, and the emotional toll that dementia can take — not only on individuals but on their families and loved ones as well.
This September, two of our dedicated team members, Melissa and Lisa, will take on a personal and physical challenge in honour of our customers and to raise funds for a cause very close to us: the Alzheimer’s Society. On 13th September, they’ll be climbing Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, to support the organisation’s vital work in dementia research, care, and community outreach.
Why We’re Supporting the Alzheimer’s Society
The Alzheimer’s Society provides critical support services and drives forward research into better treatments and ultimately a cure. Their initiatives — from Dementia Friends to Compassionate Communities — help raise awareness and reduce stigma, while offering real, practical help to those affected.
For us at Bluebird Care, the partnership is natural. We see the effects of dementia firsthand. We witness the courage of families trying to maintain a sense of normalcy and dignity for their loved ones. And we understand how essential it is to build a society that supports people living with dementia with compassion, respect, and understanding.
How You Can Help
Our Snowdon challenge is about more than reaching a summit. It’s about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those living with dementia now and in the future. We’re doing this in memory of the wonderful customers we’ve supported, and to shine a light on the vital work still to be done.
We’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation — no matter how small — brings us closer to a world where dementia no longer devastates families.
