At Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire, we believe in recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements of our team — and today, we’re shining a well-deserved spotlight on Dawn, who has recently passed her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care.
Dawn has been a valued member of our Bluebird Care family for an incredible 13 years. Her journey in care began as a practical decision to find work that would suit her family life. But what started out as a convenient job quickly became a lifelong passion.
I didn’t really know what to expect when I started,” Dawn shared. “But I soon fell in love with the job and have never looked back.
Dawn’s dedication, resilience and compassion are evident to all who work with her — customers and colleagues alike. Her natural leadership qualities were clear from early on, and just four months into her role, she was promoted to supervisor — a moment that still stands out in her career.
My first reaction when I got promoted was to ask if I still had to wear uniform!
Throughout her time with us, Dawn has grown personally and professionally, and her recent qualification marks another major milestone in her career. She credits much of her success to the supportive environment at Bluebird Care.
I love working for Bluebird Care; they’re a very supportive company. I’ve found they will be there for me the best they can regardless of the situation, and have been my rock through some very emotional times. Knowing I had their support helped me through.
Dawn’s role involves working both in the community and in the office — and she thrives in both settings.
No day is ever the same. I love being out meeting new customers and catching up over coffee with our existing ones. I also work with a great team of carers in the west area and love being in the office with such a brilliant bunch of people.
We couldn’t be prouder of Dawn and the inspiring journey she’s on. Her commitment to care, her leadership, and her unwavering positivity continue to make a real difference to everyone around her.
Congratulations again, Dawn — your success is so well deserved!
