Safe at Home  Safe at Home is here to help older Lambeth residents feel secure. If you have faced or worry about home crimes like burglaries, they offer free home safety advice and assessments to help you feel safer at home and as a part of this, they have a handy person who can fit home security locks.

Hospital discharge volunteer support service  Carefully vetted volunteers can support patients transitioning from hospital to home, ensuring their discharge is safe, smooth, and successful. They can help with

- Assist with transport, helping patients travel safely from the hospital to their homes
 - Shopping for groceries or other essentials
 - Carrying out simple home safety checks to ensure the environment is suitable for recovery
 - Offer emotional support and reassurance during the transition period
 - - Help patients connect with local services, activities, and support networks to aid recovery and prevent isolation
 - Encourage and support individuals to re-engage with their community, reducing the likelihood of hospital readmission

Foot care  provided by an external team of experienced and qualified podiatrists who offer a range of foot care treatments, including nail cutting, foot hygiene, and specialist foot care for people with diabetes.

Dementia services These drop-in groups are open to anyone affected by dementia, including carers. They offer a range of activities, from arts and crafts to singing, music, and summer day trips. You’ll always find a good chat, a cuppa and lots of laughter! The groups are free to attend with no need to book, just drop by.  With free parking and disabled access, refreshments, fun, companionship and support.

HandyFix expert and approachable, they can assist with a wide range of services, including:
 
 - Moving furniture.
 - Basic carpentry work.
 - Minor plumbing jobs.
 - Small repairs like hanging curtain rails, shelves, and pictures.
 - Safety installations such as light bulbs and grab rails.
 - Energy-saving upgrades like installing draught excluders, radiator reflectors, and energy-efficient light bulbs
 
 All work is guaranteed and carried out by trained professionals. HandyFix is a paid service, and the cost will depend on the specific tasks being completed. All proceeds from HandyFix support Age UK Lambeth’s essential community work.
