Bluebird Care  Leek & Biddulph recently marked a major milestone — 15 years of delivering high-quality Home and Live-in Care — with a community celebration filled with joy, gratitude, and meaningful moments.

The event, brought together customers, care professionals, family members, and members of the wider community for a day of fun, reflection, and connection. Most notably, the celebration raised an impressive £510 for our chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society – a cause that remains close to our hearts and integral to our work.

A Day of Firsts, Fun and Inspiration

The day featured several heart-warming “firsts” that made the occasion even more memorable. Our lovely customer Dian had her face painted for the first time in her life, and we were delighted to welcome Catherine, one of our Care Mentors, who introduced her beautiful baby boy to the team – another special first for us all.

A particularly inspiring moment came after a visit from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue. One of our care assistants’ young sons was so engaged by their presence that he has now decided he would like to become a firefighter.

Packed with Entertainment and Community Spirit

The event featured live music from the talented Wendy B, magical entertainment by Neil Hutchinson of the Uttoxeter Rotary Club, and a delicious selection of homemade bakes supplied by Katie’s Kitchen Ltd. Guests enjoyed face painting, puzzles, raffles, and traditional fish and chips, along with a warm welcome to County Councillor Barry Martin, who joined us in celebrating the day.

We were also pleased to welcome Wiltshire Farm Foods, who generously provided free tasters from their new summer menu. Natalie from the Alzheimer’s Society attended with valuable information and resources for carers and families affected by dementia. In addition, JellyDrops kindly supplied free hydration-supporting sweets for our customers to sample – a thoughtful and appreciated contribution.

Special thanks also go to Burton Radio & Echo, who helped share the day with the wider community.

Gratitude to Our Team

This unforgettable day could not have happened without the hard work and dedication of our team. A special thank you goes to Care Supervisor Hawksworth and Business Administrator Kath Heath for their exceptional planning and organisation. Their efforts ensured the event ran smoothly and was filled with laughter, smiles, and heartfelt moments.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on 15 years of care, compassion, and community, we’re filled with gratitude for the people who have supported our journey — our customers, staff, partners, and neighbours. We look forward to the next chapter of Bluebird Care, with the same commitment to excellence and empathy at the heart of all we do.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this significant milestone. Your presence and support made the day truly special.
