Julie, the founder of Bluebird Care North Tyneside, started delivering home care in North Tyneside to provide support to customers in their own homes. Her commitment to delivering high-quality care has led to the growth of Bluebird Care, which now offers a variety of services to individuals and families.

Angus McLellan, Director

Angus, with his extensive experience in the NHS and private practice, brings his clinical expertise to the team. His background in care services for older people helps Bluebird Care navigate the complexities of the healthcare system and ensure that customers receive the best possible care.

Michelle Dodds, Operations Director

Michelle has over 20 years of experience in social care, specialising in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and autism. She has served as a Registered Manager for the past 8 years, demonstrating a strong commitment to high-quality care.

Brian Kenny

Brian Kenny, Registered Manager

Brian has a diverse career background, including roles in the British Army and healthcare management. He has experience in providing support to brain injury survivors and has held leadership positions in various healthcare organisations.

Alison McMahon

Alison McMahon, Deputy Manager

Alison has over 20 years of experience in management and staff development. She has worked in various roles within the care sector, including as a support worker and Registered Manager. She has gained knowledge in a wide range of medical conditions and is committed to providing premium care.

Aime Lockey

Amie Lockey, Support Supervisor

Amie joined Bluebird Care in 2023 as a Care Expert and has rapidly risen through the ranks. She was promoted to Team Leader and then Support Supervisor. In her current role, Amie trains and supervises staff in the field, delivers care according to Bluebird Care standards, and also works part-time in the office.

Sharon Hunter

Sharon Hunter, Care Supervisor

Sharon joined Bluebird Care in January 2022 and has quickly progressed through the ranks. She was promoted to Support Supervisor in February 2022 and then to Care Supervisor in July 2023. Her role involves supporting staff to deliver the best possible care, conducting spot checks and medication observations, and developing training programs.

Sarah Doyle

Sarah Doyle, Care Coordinator

Sarah also joined Bluebird Care in January 2022 as a Carer. She was promoted to Support Supervisor and then Care Coordinator, where she is responsible for handling rotas, coordinating care expert assignments, and assisting staff and customers with inquiries.

Kate McLellan, Marketing Manager

Kate joined Bluebird Care remotely in 2021 while living in the Middle East. She transitioned to a full-time role upon her return to the UK at the end of 2023. With a background in strategic marketing, social media, and public relations, Kate is dedicated to driving business growth and expanding Bluebird Care's reach within the community.

Diane Sutherland

Diane Sutherland, Accounts Manager

Diane has been working as the Accounts Administrator at Bluebird Care since July 2018, while also pursuing her Association of Accounting Technicians qualification. Prior to joining Bluebird Care, Diane worked in customer service, which has helped her provide excellent service to the company's clients. She takes great satisfaction in her role, knowing that she is contributing to the well-being of clients and their families.

Sue Burton-Ross

Sue Burton-Ross, Senior Administrator

Sue has a diverse background that includes business studies, secretarial work, and fitness instruction. She has worked in various industries, such as construction, real estate, engineering, retail, and care. Sue has held management positions in the care sector, but was unfortunately made redundant during the pandemic. She found temporary work at the 111 service during this time.

Amy joined Bluebird Care in October 2023, returning to the health and social care sector after previous experience. She was drawn back to this field by the unique rewards it offers and the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. At Bluebird Care, Amy is a Team Leader, a role she takes seriously. She plays a vital part in supporting and mentoring new care assistants, ensuring they have a positive and successful onboarding experience. Amy maintains regular contact with these recruits, tracking their progress, answering their questions, and offering guidance and encouragement. She believes a strong, well-supported team is crucial for delivering exceptional care. For Amy, the most rewarding aspect of her job is the positive impact she has on her customers' lives. Knowing she contributes to their well-being, whether by assisting with daily tasks, providing companionship, or simply offering a listening ear, brings her immense satisfaction. It's a privilege, she feels, to be a part of their lives and to make a difference, however small, in their day.
