Learning with Lunch – A Collaborative Mental Health Session in Plymouth
What began as a friendly phone catch-up between Lisa, our Care Manager for the Plympton and Plymstock areas, and Rachael Butler, a Mental Health Practitioner at Devon Partnership NHS Trust, turned into a wonderfully creative and educational lunch event at our Plymouth office.
We were delighted to welcome Rachael, her colleague, and 24 of our dedicated Care Experts—who support customers across Plymouth, from Roborough to Ivybridge—for an engaging afternoon of collaborative learning. The focus was on developing new approaches to support a customer living with mental health challenges.
In an open, relaxed, and informal setting, we worked together to explore more effective ways of communicating and delivering care. Sessions like this are incredibly inspiring and valuable, helping us to continue working holistically and compassionately.
As a result of this collaboration, we’ve made a number of thoughtful adjustments to the customer’s care plan. These changes have already had a positive impact—not only for the individual receiving care but also for our team and the wider network of professionals involved.
We’re proud to foster strong, open partnerships with NHS colleagues and other professionals. By working together, we can continue to improve outcomes and provide truly person-centred care.
