John Keogh and Michelle are just leaving the office to conduct a consultation for a new customer, bringing along our latest roll out —the Bluebird Care Assist
It empowers customers with Health and Wellbeing visits from the comfort of their homes. This programme equips Bluebird Care Professionals with the necessary skills and tools to perform essential NHS health checks, traditionally carried out by clinical healthcare staff like Nurses.
Using the equipment, Care Professionals can measure vital signs, activity levels, and National Early Warning Score (NEWS)2 indicators, including blood pressure, oxygen levels, hydration, and nutrition. These key health markers can be monitored both in-person and remotely over time, allowing early intervention before issues escalate.
During the initial testing phase, the impact has been transformational. One customer, who previously endured prolonged hospital stays due to recurring Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs), now benefits from early detection through Bluebird Care Assist.
By spotting the warning signs early, treatment can begin promptly, reducing pain, distress, and preventing unnecessary hospital admissions. With the equipment Care Professionals gain the confidence and tools to deliver evidence-based, truly personalised care — ensuring individuals can live life on their terms, in their own homes.
