Supporting older people in Putney and Wandsworth

In our opinion, the passion, enthusiasm and sheer hard work RISE put in to supporting vulnerable older people within our local community is truly humbling.  

We are proud to call Mo Smith MBE and founder of RISE (Reaching the ISolated Elderly) a friend and we have worked with her for many years.  We feel honoured to be so respected by her as people who share her values.

 Regenerate-RISE offer day services in Putney as well as home from hospital services throughout the whole borough of Wandsworth.

“We aim to transform the lives of isolated older people through a programme of care and support which respects, values and encourages independence in later life.  Compassion and kindness are at the heart of the services we provide with health and wellbeing at the Centre of all that we do.”

 Rise provides a service to older people who are isolated, frail, living with a disability of who are affected by Dementia and memory loss. Their programme of activities reflects the people who attend and it includes strength and balance exercises, pool, the Magic Table, singing, dancing, quizzes, entertainment and health and wellbeing talks and discussions. They also give individual support when required. Transport is provided by their own minibus, their RISE car and by Dial-a-Ride. Anyone over the age of 60 is welcome to come along for a Free Taster Day.
