Tsungayi from Bluebird Care Wiltshire North was named a regional finalist in the Dementia Champion category at this year’s Bluebird Care Awards for the South West.
The awards event recognises care professionals across the region who demonstrate exceptional dedication to supporting people living with dementia and delivering high-quality care. Finalists were selected for their commitment, impact, and ability to provide person-centred support.
Tsungayi’s nomination reflects her compassionate approach and dedication to dementia care within the Wiltshire North team. She was one of several finalists who attended the ceremony to acknowledge their achievements and connect with others in the care sector.
Although she did not win the overall award, Tsungayi spoke warmly about the experience and the support she received from her colleagues and leadership team:
"Being nominated meant so much, not just for me, but for the whole team I was representing. I’m so grateful for all the support from everyone, and to have our directors cheering me on, sitting with me at the ceremony, and even taking a photo together, that alone felt like a trophy! Even though I didn’t win the overall award, the love and encouragement from my team was more than enough. I’ve learned so much, and I’m proud to be part of such a remarkable team. Congratulations to us all - we all do an incredible job every single day."
