The # SolentDolphin is a charity-run organisation that allows the elderly and disabled to go out on its boat. The Solent Dolphin is financially self-supporting through donations from the community. It runs a boat that can accommodate wheelchairs. So every year we take our customers out for a bit of a tour on the Solent.The charity is self-funded and run by volunteers.
Our customers have enjoyed many boat trips on the Alison MacGregor.Often our care assistants will pick them up and take them on the boat with their wheelchair Every year it is always a great afternoon out and a highlight for many of our customers.
Bluebird Care often sponsors the charity by donating funds raised in competitions. The team on board was very grateful to receive this. We hope this charity will continue to get sponsored by the local companies as it is a great institution.
